About Your Host

Kia Johns has over 26 years of fishing experience in the Wood-Tickchik state park, Alaska. Growing up at a fishing lodge, she had a fly-rod in her hand before she could walk.

Her favorite fly is a size 14 Purple Parachute Adams. She never goes on a fishing trip without her teal rod.

An alum of Montana State University, she spent the majority of her college years fishing the Madison, Yellowstone and Gallatin Rivers between classes.

She loves fishing with other women and sharing her passion of the sport.

When not fishing, Kia can be found with her pens and her notebook working on graphic designs and illustrations.
